A letter to my partner: When a loved friend dies

The footprints that we leave in each others’ journey are all that really and truly matters. We can build successful businesses, we can aspire to be the world’s greatest, we can create empires that rule the worlds, but in the end…all we truly have are the people around us. All we truly have are the memories we create with each other. All that we truly and sincerely have is the Love that we share.

Were you kind? Were you grateful? Were you generous? Did you give your time – the most precious commodity you have?

I was asked, what am I certain of… And really, I’m not certain of much of anything. I’m not certain about God, I’m not certain about our existence, I’m not certain about what’s beyond, I’m not even certain if what I’m doing is what I came here to do! But there’s a light within us all that makes me truly certain about one thing…

The ONLY thing I am certain of is the Love that I have for me and for the ones that I Love. And I know that LOVE is what guides me to do what I do, every day.

This physical body dies eventually. But I believe my soul will travel on … UNTIL… And so it is my only goal, my only job to live this life on a daily basis, to fulfill my personal legends, with those that I love, as beautifully and as wholly I can.. because tomorrow is not promised.. ever.

And I hope that you all will do the same.

My heart aches for my Love and his friends & family. May your friends’ body lie in peace but may his Soul travel on to the next to fulfill all the dreams and desires he didn’t get to fulfill in this life.

I know he will come to visit you again one day, in another form this time. And I know that you will be ready to make up for lost times.

May tragedy inspire us all to continue to push forward, to achieve all of our dreams, to do all that we desire to do, to Live With No Regrets, to Love With No Limits.

Always remember… Life is full of amazing things. Always take a minute to smell the flowers by your feet. Feel the Sun on your face. Let the Rain cleanse your soul. Love with all that you have. Laugh with every breath. Live with purpose. Fight for your dreams. Reach for the Stars, Moon and Sun… Believe in you… cause I do. And remember, that I will always be here… right by your side… cheering you on.
