The fifth human: Your Papa hears you

Dear Baby,

This pregnancy stuff is nerve-wrecking.

We met Dr Pearlman.

They take another round of blood from me. Apparently one of the tests, MaterniT21, was not processed because my blood didn’t clot properly in the tube. This of course ignited worry although the first round of testing came back clear.  I know you are okay, but these blood tests sure do make a woman feel crazy.

I expressed to the doctor that I hadn’t felt very much movement after I had felt a lot of movement. She is not concerned as she doesn’t want me to worry about it until a few more weeks. It’s still a bit unsettling. But I respect that you are growing and just may not be in the moving stage right now.

On the brighter side, we heard your beautiful and strong heart beat. 160bps.  I felt like Your Papa was a bit amazed at the sound. Nervous even perhaps?

He wants to be there for every appointment. He doesn’t want to miss a thing. This makes me overjoyed.

You’re going to be amazing.

 I can’t wait to meet you.
